I simply had to share this story, but I will keep it brief.
A friend had to attend his local Casualty at "errrrr our NHS", he had nasty colourant solution that splashed into his eyes.
While being treated, the male nurse got very upset and left the cubicle. Another nurse returned with security personnel and warned him that homophobic and abusive behaviour would not be tolerated.
My friend somewhat oblivious to how he caused the offence said he didn't know what they meant.
Apparently the male nurse got very upset and started crying when my half blinded mate described his horrendous injury with the phrase "it stings like buggery". Clearly he hit a nerve so to speak.
